Who We Are

Oneonta For Equality is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by a group of OHS alumni seeking to improve the experiences of current & future students in the Oneonta City School District, particularly concerning issues of race & equality. Led entirely by volunteers, it was created as a platform for voices that have been silenced by racism and systemic oppression, and promotes the idea that every student at every school deserves an equal and exceptional education – something other generations did not get to experience.

O4E is a safe space for people from all walks of life to come together to share their thoughts, experiences, and ideas on how to make the world a better and more equitable place for everyone – not just for those of us currently here, but also for future generations.
